3 Days Fes To Marrakech Desert Tour

Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Cedar forest- Midelt – Ziz valley – Merzouga Sahara (7 H Drive)

The 3 days tour from Fes to Marrakech begins with an early pick up from the airport or your residence in Fez. Our journey begins by heading southward, passing through Imouzzer en route to Ifrane, renowned for its frigid climate, snow and alpine-style  architecture- no wonder it’s called the Switzerland of Morocco. Next, we venture into the enchanting cedar forest where the Barbary Macaques lives. Then we continue to Midelt, where lunch awaits us. Then we will toward to the Sahara desert, traversing the Tizi-n-Tilghmt passage and along the Ziz River.

Finally, we reach the charming Merzouga in the heart of the Sahara, where the adventure truly begins. You’ll be introduced to your trusty camels for an unforgettable trek across the sandy dunes. You will make several stops so that you can enjoy the magical sunset on a high dune. Continue to the desert camp where you can enjoy Berber music while dancing around the fire under an open starry sky. Dinner and overnight at camp.

Day 2: Merzouga Sahara – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley (4 H Drive)

Wake up early to see the beautiful sunrise in the heart of the desert After a leisurely breakfast, you’ll be reunited with your driver in Merzouga. We leave the desert and visit the city of Rissani, the old capital of Tafilalet. Rissani is still a large shopping center in the region, with a large souk vibrant on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.

After a walk through the Rissani Souk, we continue to Erfoud, where you can explore one of the petrified marble workshops, a unique local craft. Then we cross the picturesque palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad to reach the Todra Gorge. These dramatic gorges, sculpted by the Todra River, provide an ideal playground for rock climbers. Take some time to meander through the gorges and soak in the breathtaking scenery before enjoying a delightful lunch at a local restaurant. Then proceeds through the Dades Valley, passing through Boumalne Dades, then inevitably stops in the rock formation of the «Affefinger ». And in a place on a mountain overlooking the valley of Dadès. where we will conclude the day.

Day 3: Dades Valley – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech (9 H Drive)

Begin our day with tasty breakfast, we continue our journey to Kalaat Magouna to visit the Rose Valley, which is celebrated every year in May. Here, the locals display their rose-based products, including perfume, rose water, oil and cosmetics. Then we cross the Skoura palms groves before reaching Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Desert”.  Visit the studios where famous films have been filmed.

Then we drive to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village that has earned UNESCO World Heritage site. In addition, Kasbah is in various movies, including: “Gladiator,” “Alexander,” “The Mummy,” and “Game of Thrones”. Following our exploration of Ait Ben Haddou, we will cross the Tizi N Tichka pass and the spectacular mountains of the High Atlas. There are stops for lunch and photos of interesting places. Finally, we arrive in la medina Marrakech , we leave you at the airport or in your accommodation.
