Day 1: Fes – Middle Atlas Mountains – Merzouga Desert (7 H Drive)

Begin your Fes to Marrakech desert tour 4 days with an early morning pickup from Fez, either at the airport or your accommodation. Then we head south via Imouzzar to visit Ifrane, famous for its low temperatures, snow, and alpine-style houses. Then continue to the cedar forest inhabited by the barbarian monkeys, which offers a unique opportunity to interact and feed them. Lunch will be in Midelt. followed by a drive through the breathtaking Tizi-n-Tilghmt Pass and along the Ziz River, en route to the Sahara Desert.

Upon arrival at Merzouga dunes, experience the traditional mode of travel with a camel ride. Enjoy the magical sunset on a high dune. Then head to the luxurious desert camp, where you can enjoy the music of Berber drums while dancing by the fire under the large open starry sky. Dinner and overnight stay in the desert.

Waking up early in the morning is a must to do to catch the beautiful sunrise in the middle of the desert. Then return by camel to Merzouga where the driver is waiting for you. Spend the day exploring the Merzouga region. The area has so many great places, from dunes, mines, and fossil areas to amazing oases. These are ideal places for many outdoor activities.

The day’s adventures include a visit to an ancient eyeliner mine. Then we visit the nomads in their traditional tents and learn how they live. Our next destination is the village of Khamlia where you can enjoy Gnaoua music and dance shows. The village’s inhabitants come from sub-Saharan countries such as Mali, Niger and Sudan. Lunch is at a local restaurant. Then we go into a palm grove, then we drive a few kilometers to see the wild lake of Merzouga, also known as Flamingos Lake. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Merzouga Desert – Todgha Gorge – Dades Valley (4 H Drive)

After breakfast, depart the desert for Rissani, the historic capital of Tafilalet. known for its vibrant market, especially lively on market days, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.

After exploring the souk of Rissani we continue to Erfoud, where we visit one of the fossilized marble workshops. Then we cross the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad arriving at the impressive Todra Gorges. These red rock canyons are a paradise for climbers, offering stunning landscapes and a chance for exploration. Free time for lunch in a restaurant and then continue to the Dades Valley via Boumalne Dades. with stops at the unique “Monkey Finger” rock formations and a panoramic viewpoint over the valley. The day ends with dinner and an overnight stay at a local hotel.

Day 4: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait ben Haddou – Marrakech (7 H Drive)

Then drive to Marrakech, passing over the Tizi N Tichka Pass and the spectacular High Atlas Mountains. with stops for lunch and photos, before finally arriving in Marrakech. The desert tour ends with a drop-off at the airport or your accommodation in Marrakech.
