Day 1: Marrakech –Telouat Kasbah – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Ouarzazate (7 H Drive)

The 5 Days Tour From Marrakech To Merzouga Days starts with a morning pick-up from Marrakech’s airport or your accommodation in Marrakech. Traverse the fascinating Tizi-N-Tichka pass in the Atlas Mountains. Stop to enjoy the panoramic view of the breathtaking landscape.

Then proceed to the famous Kasbah of Ait ben Haddou, a fortified village classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In addition, Kasbah has been in many movies, including Gladiator, Alexander, and The Mummy … Then we head to “Desert Gate” Ouarzazate. Dinner and overnight stay at a local hotel.

Day 2: Ouarzazate – Agdz – Draa Valley – Merzouga Desert (5 H Drive)

After breakfast, we explore the city of Ouarzazate. starting with the Atlas Studios and the Taourirt Kasbah: an ancient fortified clay castle. Then we will head to Agdz and find ourselves in the Draa Valley, Morocco’s longest river. where we admire palm groves, kasbahs, and Berber villages. Lunch is at leisure in Nkob or Alnif.

After lunch, we continue towards Merzouga Sahara via Rissani. Upon reaching Erg Chebbi’s dunes, you will be set off by camels to cross the Sahara. Stopping at a high dune to see the magical sunset. Then head to the camp, which is a combination of traditional nomadic tents and the luxury of a hotel. At the campsite, complete with Berber drum music, dancing, and stargazing. Overnight stay at the camp with dinner.

Day 3: Merzouga Desert (1 H Drive)

Getting up early is a must to see the beautiful sunrise in the middle of the desert. After a camel trek back to Merzouga, we spend the day exploring the region’s dunes. The area has so many great places, from dunes, mines, and fossil areas to beautiful oases. These are ideal places for many outdoor activities.

First, we start our journey to Merzouga and we go to an old eyeline terminal. Then we visit the nomads in their hand-woven tent and learn how they live with Berber tea. Our next destination is the village of Khamlia, where you can enjoy Gnaoua music and dance shows. The inhabitants come from countries south of the Sahara, such as Mali, Niger, and Sudan. Free time for lunch in a restaurant and then we go to the palm forest. Night at the hotel.

Day 4: Merzouga Desert – Erfoud  – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley (4 H Drive)

After breakfast, we left the desert to visit the city of Rissani, the ancient capital of the Tafilalet. Rissani is still an important shopping mall in the region with a great lively souk on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.

After a visit to Rissani Souk, we continue to Erfoud, where we visit one of the fossilized marble workshops. Then we cross the palm groves in Touroug and Tinjdad to reach the Todra gorges. The course of the Todra River dug a large gorge through the mountains – creating a high red cliff. These canyons are an ideal place for mountaineers. Do not hesitate to walk through the canyons and enjoy the beauty of the landscape. Enjoy lunch at your leisure before continuing to the Dades Valley via Boumalne Dades, stopping at the “monkey fingers” rock formation. And at the top of a mountain overlooking the Dades Valley. Finally dinner and an overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: Dades Valley – Amridil Kasbah – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech (6 H Drive)

On the final day of your visit to the Moroccan desert, we will travel to Kalaat Magouna to explore the Valley of the Roses. famous for its annual rose festival and products ranging from perfumes to cosmetics. Then we pass various kasbahs, including Amridil Kasbah, surrounded by palm trees in Skoura. Lunch is at leisure in Ouarzazate, followed by a drive back to Marrakech via the Tizi-N-Tichka Pass and High Atlas Mountains. Finally, The journey ends with a drop-off at your Marrakech accommodation or the airport.
