Day 1: Fez – Cedar Forest – Merzouga Desert (8 H Drive)
The Fes desert trip 2 days begins with a pick up either from Fes Airport or your accommodation in Fez. Then we head south via the charming town of Imouzzer to visit Ifrane, famous for its chilly climate, snow and also alpine style architecture- no wonder it is called Switzerland of Morocco. Continuing our adventure to the cedar forest where the barbarian monkeys live, feel free to feed them while they roam the forest. Then we will continue to Midelt where lunch will be served. Then we will go to the Sahara and cross the pass of Tizi-n-Tilghmt and the river Ziz.
In the afternoon we will arrive in the Sahara Desert of Merzouga. Where the camels awaits you to cross the sand dunes. You will do stops to enjoy the magical sunset on a high dune. Then continue to the desert camp to enjoy the Berber music of the drum while dancing around the campfire, under a huge open starry sky. Dinner and overnight at camp.

Day 2: Merzouga Desert – Rissani – Ifrane – Fez (8 H Drive)
Wake up early in the morning to witness the beautiful sunrise in the middle of the desert. After a leisurely breakfast, you’ll reunite with your driver in Merzouga. Then we leave the desert and visit the city of Rissani, the ancient capital of Tafilalet. Rissani remains an important shopping center in the area with a large busy souk on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. After a visit of the souk, we continue to Erfoud, where we visit one of the fossil marble workshops.
Then we follow the Ziz River and stop for a panoramic view of the Ziz Valley. Then we cross the cedar forest and Ifrane en route to Fes.
Upon arrival in Fez, we conclude this memorable trip by either dropping you off at Fez Airport or your chosen accommodation, marking the end of an extraordinary desert experience.
